Message to my guests

Hallo my name is Alec van Dierendonck I am a Dutch Filipino from origin. Brought up in two complete opposite worlds. I was born in a little town called Leiden in South Holland. Since 1996 I have lived in the Southern part of the Philippine archipelago in the city called Davao. It is a relaxing little town with clean air and lush mountains surrounding the city with cristal clear waters and virgin islands waiting to be explored. I see my self as a environmentalist and have bin part of an NGO that focused on rehabilitating an island with mangroves in the Davao gulf.

The first time I set foot on these mysterious islands when I was a few months old we lived in the Northern part of the island Mindanao due to the proffession of my dad he was practicing medicine in the rural jungels of Mindanao a place called Maragusan. We lived on the boarder lines of the jungels and reached out to the small bario community in the surrounding area extending medical service.

Presently I`m based in Manila the capital so to speak of this island nation. I spend a lot of time traveling around the region especially around South East Asia due to my modeling career which I started in the year 2003 after I finished my degree in BSBA major in Marketing. It is such a amazing region. Rich in cultures and natural diversity. On this site you can find some of my photography peaces I would like to showcase.

Another interest of mine is languages I pick up realy fast a foreign language at this moment I speak fluent Dutch, English, Visayan which is the Souther language of the Philippines and Tagalog the national language of this nation. I also starting to learn the Thai language due to traveling frequently to the Kingdom of Thailand.

My other interests are since child I have bin around the ocean and found a close bond with the magestic deep blue sea. Since my 15th I`ve started venturing out in the scuba diving world and have found passion in the underwater world, it is truely a wonder in itself. I am also a very sports oriented person and love sports like tennis, soccer, wall climbing, wind and wave surfing and occationaly mountaineering.
